Primary 4 have enjoyed a busy day learning outside.... the weather was lovely! We started the day by listening to the sounds around us and creating sound maps. Using the sound maps pupils created super poems using similes. It was then time for maths. After relay running to practice timestables, we explored right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles using the outdoor learning equipment and other natural materials. After lunch pupils demonstrated great cooperative skills to make stick frames which they used to explore and capture many patterns and textures in the environment around us. Everyone worked so hard today....well done to you all! Here is one of the poems-
I hear birds cheeping like a soft flute,
I hear footballs bouncing up and down like a slimy frog,
I hear people shouting like they won a trophy,
I hear the school boiler rumbling like a car engine.
