We are delighted to share the news that Alyth Primary School has been recognised for embedding digital technology in learning and teaching throughout the school by achieving the Digital Schools Award. Over the last few years we have been working hard as a whole school to develop our skills and knowlegde to provide our learners with increased opportunities to use digital technology to enhance their learning. Earlier this year we recruited a team of Digital Leaders who have worked hard in their role to run a coding club and link with digital leaders in another local primary. Next year they will build on their role and work to support learners and staff throughout the school.
A highlight of the report shared by our assessor is: "It is clear that digital learning is well embedded in classroom practice. The use of digital tools for learning and teaching is fully integrated in the whole School Improvement Plan. Alyth Primary and Nursery School exude a strong sense of the value of the use of digital technologies in enhancing and supporting learning and teaching. The school is clearly committed to using digital technologies, in order to motivate and inspire its learners, with the aim of enabling them to make a significant contribution to our growing digital world, and successfully equipping them with essential skills for life and work. There is a confidence and enthusiasm within staff and pupils about the positive impact digital technologies are having on learning and teaching, and in assisting in planning and tracking of activities and learner progress."
Well done to all learners and staff - this is a great achievement and a super end to the school year!
