Celebrating Burns Day Outdoors
P1 and P2 pupils enjoyed an afternoon outdoors to celebrate Burns Day. First pupils worked co-operatively to design tartan using natural materials after discussing traditional Scottish dress. Next the boys and girls listened to the famous poem 'To a Mouse' by Robert Burns and then worked together to make new houses for the mouse. We finished by tasting porridge and shortbread round the fire, while listening to the Gruffalo in Scots, Scots poems and singing 'Three Craws'. Lots of learning and great fun had by everyone.
